Justice League of America #7 Cover Jam
One of the more interesting assignments: a huge jam piece featuring all the various incarnations of the JLA. Most of this art got cropped and reduced in the final cover, so here's the full image, presented for the first time anywhere! To the left is the artist from the first JLA revival in '87: Kevin Maguire. The book accidentally credited me with inking Luke McDonnell's work, but actually I was reunited with old pal Howard Porter (center), who proves he could resume art chores on the book tomorrow and not miss a beat!

52 Week 26 Page 4 Patch
When I originally received this page to ink for DC's weekly series 52, Richard Dragon was clean shaven. A few days later, either Editor Steve Wacker or one of the four writers decided that Richard should grow a beard, so Pat sent me the appropriate images that needed adjusted, which the colorist and/or production person popped in place. When inking Pat, I deliberately tried to emulate John Dell's razor-sharp style. The fur collars were also inspired by Dell, having tiny random lines that collecting into a black area.

Hooray For Hercules (Read and Color Book)

Usually Marvel licenses out their characters to companies that specialize in coloring books, but this was actually published by Marvel last millenium. The linework I did was quite simple, but bold, because I had to remind myself that it was to be a coloring book. The cover was taken from another page, but I chose to post this page, because you don't see Krakens sobbing everyday (he had just lost an arm-wrestling contest, where Herc had beaten him handily-*ouch*)

Triple-A Baseball Heroes
It was an honor to be a part of this book, thanks to Editor Nicole Boose from Marvel. This page is from a special all-new story created exclusively as a givaway to all the Triple-A Baseball League teams throughout the USA. The imagery of the Fantastic Four at a family event like baseball is great to see (there's always time to clobber Doc Doom later)!

Arwyn Christmas Card
Another specialty piece of art, used for Crossgen's official Christmas cards sent out to retailers and freelancers, made during the first year of Sojourn. Greg and I were pressed into service to make specialty art for a variety of reasons, the oddest being a giant color poster/portrait of a local female reporter (who shall remain nameless) to shmooze some local press. Hey, I just worked there...
